6b Form

SchoolEmblem

Welcome to my Lower Sixth Form page and yes, this is my sixth year in High School and I was successful in passing all nine (9) subjects that I studies in fifth form, at the CSEC Examinations.  I am currently thinking about a career in Medical Engineering and have already done quite a good deal of research into what is required to enter this field. My present understanding is that I will need to complete a Bachelor's followed by a Masters Degree in Biomedical  Engineering. Unfortunately for me, these programs are not offered in Jamaica and so am looking at the prospect of having to go overseas to do my studies. Needless to say neither my mom nor my dad are veru enthused about it. The subjects subjects that I am currently doing at the CAPE level are as follows:

  1. Chemistry (elective),
  2. Biology (elective),
  3. Computer Science (elective),
  4. Communication Studies (compulsory).

Although at this point, it now appears that this will be my final career choice, there is still enough time in which to change my mind.

Activities of Summer 2009

Summer 2009 was quite uneventful as I neither traveled nor went on any summer courses. I am sincerely hopeful that Summer 2010 will be much more interesting than that of 2009.

Activities of Christmas 2009

While Summer 2009 was uneventful, my parents surprised me with a registration to Key School of Driving. I started to learn how to drive. There was some kind f mix up as my dad thought I would be able to obtain my TRN (Taxpayer Registration NUmber) at my current age of sixteen (16), however he was being given mixed signals. I have taken a break from driving but hope to resume soon as it appears that I will be able to get the TRN. The TRN is needed in order for me to get my Provisional Drivers Licence. The Provisional Drivers Licence will allow me to drive on the road with my instructor as at present I am only able to drive in the enclosed area when I am taught to park and reverse.

This is the end of my Sixth Form web page.
