It is still my intention to enter the field of medicine although I am still undecided as to what will be my specialisation. I have previously given thought to becoming a Paediatrician, however I am still undecided.
Activities of Summer 2008
Summer 2008 was quite uneventful as I neither traveled nor went on any summer courses. I am sincerely hopeful that Summer 2009 will be much more interesting that that of 2008.
Activities of Christmas 2008
While Summer 2008 was uneventful, my parents surprised me with a trip over the Christmas holidays. About two days before the end of the Christmas term I was given a ticket for a return trip to Tampa, Florida and the really cool part was that I would be travelling alone. Mine was the first flight out on Sunday December 14 and I would be travelling to Miami, where I would disembark and await the arrival of a flight from Houstan, Texas which would then take me to Tampa. I was initially sheduled to be at the Miami Airport for about three hours but as you can well imagine there were numerous delays and I eventually had to wait roughly six hours before leaving for Tampa where my uncle and cousin picked me up. I had a good time and at the end of the first week realised that I was sheduled to return to Jamaica on Saturday January 3 and not December 27 as I had initially thought. I got to meet a few of my cousin Russell's friends and we hung out a bit and visited the Malls etc. I even went to an Orchestra Concert. I will simply say that the music was very different but it was ok, I guess...... My return trip was not as eventful as when I was going up. There were a few delays and so I got back about three hours behind schedule. This was the first time I was travelling by myself and it allowed me to experience a sense of independence which I had never known previously. This made me feel very good and my parents told me that this was a 'dry run' for when I go away to university. They advised that I will be living on my own at that time and so I had to become accustomed to exercising sound judgement and making decisions on my own. I really thank them for this opportunity.
This is the end of my Fifth Form web page.
